About AJ

AJ Jordan is a queer, non-binary Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) practicing in Tennessee. AJ works with their clients to create a gentle, collaborative space to foster growth, stability, and liberation.

AJ practices through a trauma-informed, person-centered lens, operating with cultural humility and responsiveness. They have worked in many settings over the last 15 years as a social worker: temporary and emergency housing, fundraising for rural Appalachian queers, supporting folks with disabilities, hospital, palliative care, and outpatient mental health. AJ draws from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness-based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP).

In their free time, AJ enjoys hiking in the East Tennessee wilderness, backpacking in wild places, chaotically gardening, spending time with their elderly cats, and swimming outside year-round.
