A guided somatic meditation for release 🏹
If you need some additional care for your nervous system right now, I hope this guided meditation will support you.
This past weekend was the full moon in Sagittarius and I was very inspired to create a somatic meditation that focused on the energy of the full moon.
If you aren’t into astrology — no worries! — this somatic meditation will still work for you. It can be used at any time, to hone your vision and release unwanted or negative thoughts, and so I wanted to share it with you all.
If you check it out, I hope you enjoy it.
You can access the meditation by clicking the photo below, which redirects to a YouTube link.

Welcome to your guided somatic meditation for the full moon in Sagittarius.
Take a moment to make yourself comfortable and ensure you have a quiet, safe space to complete this meditation.
Feel free to sit or lay down, and make yourself comfortable.
If at any moment, you choose not to participate in the meditation, remember that choosing is more important than doing. And that is perfectly alright.
When you are ready, you can soften your gaze, or close your eyes.
Take a deep breath in through your nose like you’re smelling a flower.
And out through your mouth like you’re blowing out candles.
Next, I’d like to invite you to imagine the outline of your body.
Starting at the top of your head.
All the way down your head.
And down your body slowly.
To the tips of your toes.
Imagine now that you are standing, your outline still dimly glowing and visible, in a densely wooded forest.
Smell the fresh pine.
Feel the wet moss and brush underneath your feet.
Smell the wet smell of dew and rain and humidity in the air.
The earthy smell of wood and mushrooms and last fall’s few remaining dead leaves.
Imagine the woodland creatures, the sounds.
How the air feels — what is the weather like?
Where in the forest are you? Are you in the deepest, most dense part or are you close to the forests edge or a clearing?
Take a moment to let your body settle into the surroundings of these woods.
Now think of an issue that has been bothering you — a challenge or struggle or conflict that you keep thinking about.
Imagine now, a bow and arrow under a nearby tree.
You notice it has your name on it. What does it look like? Is it simple or ornate? Leather or made of fabric?
How many arrows are in your bag?
When you are ready, you pick up the bow and arrows and see these are special arrowheads.
They glimmer and shimmer and you know that when you aim and shoot them, you will be led in the right direction.
You will be led toward a clear solution, releasing any stress or conflict associated with the challenges you’ve experienced.
As you aim your arrow, your perfect pathway forward is illuminated easily for you now under the bright, full moon.
When you are ready, you shoot your arrow.
You can see unfolding for you now, a glowing, illuminated pathway appearing in the woods in the beautiful, full moonlight.
As you follow along this path, the answers to your challenges and struggles reveal themselves, feeling so much more available than before.
Take a moment to wander down your path, releasing what no longer serves you and following the glowing light of the moonlit path ahead.
With each step, you get further from your challenges and closer to the version of yourself who has solutions, answers, and peace.
When you are ready, you can slowly come back to the room, come back to your body.
Rub your thumbs over the pads of your fingers.
Blink your eyes open.
Stretch.
